Dr. Linda Gordon Joins PerformCare in New Jersey as Medical Director

PerformCare, a national full-service managed behavioral health care organization, today announced that Linda Gordon, M.D., M.P.H., has joined the company as medical director for its New Jersey business. PerformCare is part of the AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies, a majority-owned subsidiary of Independence Blue Cross; Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan holds a minority interest.
Prior to joining PerformCare, Dr. Gordon served as physician advisor and child psychiatrist at Community Behavioral Health, a division of the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services, a position she began in 2007. Previously Dr. Gordon served as co-chair of the Medical Executive Committee for Devereux Children’s Behavioral Health Services in Malvern, Pa., and medical director for the Commission on Mental Health Services in Washington, D.C. She also served as an attending child and adolescent psychiatrist at Christiana Care and later at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pa.
Dr. Gordon received certifications in child and adolescent psychiatry and general psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and a certification in pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics. She earned her Master of Public Health from the Medical College of Wisconsin, as well as Medical Doctor from the New York University School of Medicine.
